I just returned from the Qatar Masters golf tournament. What a show! A-list celebrities, top golfers, enormous yachts moored in the bay.
I have always thought of golf as something to fill in the gaps between having a brisk walk in the park. But I’ve always wanted to learn something new and different. So I was interested, of course. Adam Scott , who went on to win the tournament, held a golf clinic for Natalie Imbruglia and me.
Of course, I was there in high heels, which while pretty, weren’t recommended wear for a golf course. So I golfed barefoot, which was definitely a first.
Everybody was there. Anna Kournikova, Boris Becker. Top golfers like Sergio Garcia, Luke Donald, Jeev Milkha Singh, Shiv Kapur. Shilpa Shetty and I were holding up the Indian side.
Qatar seems to be turning into another Dubai. I am looking forward to going back there in March with John, for the Moto GP. I’m sure that will be another great experience.
